KATERINA KONSTANTINIDOU

Associate Professor of Early Modern Greek History

She studied History in Athens and Venice: she graduated from the Department of History and Archaeology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, studied at the University of Ca' Foscari, was a fellow of the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies in Venice and got her PhD from the Department of History and Archaeology of NKUA.
Her scientific, research and teaching interests focus the history of the Greek territories under Venetian rule (13th-18th century). Her publications deal with the history of institutions, disease, social politics, the history of the family and gender history through marital conflicts, the history of justice and, finally, the investigation of the identity of Venetian rule on the Stato da Mar.
She has authored three monographs and numerous articles published in journals, edited volumes and conference proceedings in Greece and abroad.
